I know

Dark was the day and gloomy the night When lives of youths who for their right Raised their voices with unbridled passion Met their doom while on their civil mission They dies helplessly on our street Unprepared, yet long eternity to meet. Oh that our white flag means peace Oh that our national identity remained unstained  We would have walk and work with ease But for the massacre we are pained When will though arise and shine And put on your purple and wine Let it not be later But rise now, Father of fathers To help the nation whom though loveth  For I know, Nigeria's redeemer liveth. ✍🏽 David Olumide (Beloved)

HEIRS

Father of many children; Jews, Gentiles, even heathen, Although since caused a breach in Eden; Yet willing to call them brethren.  Sacrifice of animals could not do; Atonement with birds, calf and bull, Not a pinch of sin could be moved; So the old testament need to be removed. Then came the first born; He died and left the veil torn, Giving us access to the Father as son; Joint heirs with Jesus made us one. ✍🏽 David Olumide (Beloved)

IN A MOMENT

Christian  life is a marital journey,  Christ being the husband and man, wife; Upon the cross He paid her dowry, At the cross man surrenders her life, In a moment man and God becomes one! Daily she is tempted and persecuted, He (Christ) also suffered for her; Unanswered prayers sometimes made her wonder, Lo, here comes the her comforter, In a moment her sorrow is gone! Hated in the world she lives, Comforted by the word she believes;  Expecting her Lord she loves so dear, Labouring for the harvest so near, In a moment the trumpet will sound! In a moment the Lord will come, In a moment the saints will be gone, In a  moment comes our final redemption, In a moment we shall die no more, Living and reigning before the Father's throne! ✍🏽 David Olumide (Beloved)
